AMD Driver 25.9.1 Unlocks FSR 4 for Over 85 FSR 3.1 Games

Adrenalin Software driver version 25.9.1 is released by AMD with a big leap for many gamers. The new driver simplifies the enablement of AMD's FSR 4 technology across most games where FSR 3.1 already works in DirectX 12.

Automatic FSR 4 Upgrade for DirectX 12 Titles

This would allow FSR 4 to be enabled in over 85 existing DirectX 12 titles that have FSR 3.1 integrated, thus implying that previously FSR 4 in those games had to be enabled manually with third-party programs such as DLSS Swapper or Optiscaler for swapping DLLs. This means a better visual set-up in many instances better than FSR 3.1, even with settings like performance or balanced mode.

To get this enabled through the driver, an RDNA 4 GPU is still a requirement. The update does not apply to Vulkan-based titles. These will be targeted with a future solution.

Adrenalin 25.9.1 Driver Highlights

The driver contains specific game support besides the wide enablement of FSR 4, along with a host of important bug fixes.
