Lenovo announced AI-Powered Workstations, Displays, and Concepts at the Innovation World 2025
At the event, the latest Innovation World 2025 from Lenovo in Berlin, the company kicked off an entire portfolio of products and services to propel AI solutions for businesses. Included in the new gear are re-engineered ThinkPad mobile workstations with Intel Core Ultra 200HX series processors at their heart, an ultrawide professional display, and advanced Thunderbolt 5 docking solutions.
New ThinkPad P Series Mobile Workstations
The elimination of the old world ISV-certified ThinkPad P series falls into what is now their digitalization on AI processing, ensuring high performance for demanding professional workflow scenarios.
ThinkPad P16 Gen 3
- Processor: Intel Core Ultra 200HX series with support for up to 24 cores and an integrated NPU.
- GPU: Up to NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell generation with bridges of about 24GB VRAM.
- Memory & Storage: 192GB DDR5 RAM and storage capacity of up to 12TB PCIe Gen5.
ThinkPad P1 Gen 8
Designed for both portability and power, the ThinkPad P1 Gen 8 combines a slim form factor with workstation-level components:
- Processor: Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors with integrated NPU.
- Graphics: Up to NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell generation GPU.
- Memory & Storage: Up to 64GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 8TB of PCIe Gen5 storage.
Station Refreshes More Solutions
Lenovo ended up unveiling the slender eternal, ThinkPad P16v Gen 3, which features a 16:10 display. It also expanded the ranks with high-end versioned ThinkPad P14s i Gen 6 and P16s i Gen 4 for professionals always on the go.
Avant-garde Concept Devices
Lenovo let a peek into what future productivity would look like through some proof-of-concept designs.
- ThinkBook VertiFlex Concept: A 14-inch notebook conception with a rotatable screen that can swop between the conventional horizontal and a vertical orientation ideal for coding or document review.
- Smart Motion Concept: A smart multi-directional laptop stand that relies on AI and gesture control for auto-facial tracking and ergonomic adjustments.
- NaturaSynth Display Concept: An eyesight-conserving monitor based on zero blue light hardware technology which can mimic natural light.
Professional Displays and Docks Solutions
The new addition to its workstation portfolio is a new professional display and a gallery of smart docks.
ThinkVision P40WD-40 Monitor
This 39.7-in curve ultrawide display is engineered for multitasking and creative professionals. It offers:
- Resolution: 5120x2160 with a 21:9 aspect ratio and IPS Black technology.
- Connectivity: Features a Thunderbolt 4 one-cable docking solution which provides power delivery of up to 140W.
- Refresh Rate: A variable refresh rate from 24Hz to 120Hz for power efficiency.
New ThinkPad Smart Docks
- ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4 Smart Dock Gen 2: A restyled dock with support for one 8K or dual 4K @ 144Hz displays with up to 100W power.
- ThinkPad USB4 Smart Dock 5500: A next-generation USB4 dock supporting an 8K or two 4K at 144Hz displays with up to 100W power.
ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition in Glacier White
After new Glacier White styling, the Intel Core Ultra processors will let the ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition travel with Multiplier replacement. Model-wise, both the 14" and 15" versions will still benefit from AI enhancement.

Availability of products is expected to take place in late 2025:
