LG Debuts Xboom Buds Lite and Buds Plus True Wireless Earbuds

LG has announced two new true wireless earbuds: the Xboom Buds Lite and the Xboom Buds Plus. This launch maintains the company's continued association with musician will.i.am, who does audio tuning for what LG describes as a vibrant yet balanced sound. The two models feature graphene-coated drivers and support Bluetooth 5.4 for dual pairing.

Xboom Buds Plus The Advanced Model with Premium Features and Sound

Xboom Buds Plus is the more advanced model of the two. Some features being highlighted include:

  • Audio Technology: Graphene-coated drivers matched with an adaptive EQ which adjusts sound dynamically to optimize reproduction.
  • Microphones: A triple MEMS microphone array that cancels background noise actively during calls or music playback.
  • Customization: The EQ can be fine-tuned by the user via a smartphone app together with the Noise Cancelling Optimization feature to determine the best-fitting ear tip.
  • Battery Life: They can run for 10 hours on a single charge, and the case extends total usage to 30 hours.

Innovative Charging Case

The case of the Buds Plus is laden with futuristic features:

  • Sanitization: Sanitizes the earbuds using ultraviolet light with LG's UVnano2 technology.
  • Bluetooth Transmitter: The case can be connected via a wire to audio sources lacking wireless function (e.g., in-flight entertainment) and can transmit audio wirelessly to the earbuds.
  • Broadcasting Audio: Auracast-enabled, allowing multiple Bluetooth devices to receive audio simultaneously.
  • Charging: The case is live with wireless charging possibilities.

LG Xboom Buds Lite Excelling with Essential Experience

A more economical offering, the Xboom Buds Lite are still the hallmark of core premium features:

  • Drivers: Graphene-coated drivers for sound quality.
  • Noise Cancelling: Slightly milder active noise-canceling performance compared to the Plus model.
  • EQ Modes: The companion app allows choosing from four customizable EQ modes.
  • Battery Life: 11.5 hours of runtime, 35 in total with a charging case.

Availability

Both LG Xboom Buds Lite and Buds Plus are expected to be available for sale in September 2025. Pricing and complete specifications are not yet announced by LG.
