New Game Play From the New Boss Fight of Nioh 3
IGN has brought forward the first exclusive new gameplay from KOEI TECMO's Nioh 3 and it features a snippet for one of the many boss fights in the game. This was announced three months ago on the Sony State of Play, but early-2026 is the date that has been set for its release. And, different from previous installments in the series, Nioh 3 will be released on both PlayStation and PC simultaneously.
New Format: Open World and Style Switching
The first very important changes that come with the third part are: Moving from a linear form to an open-world style map and creating a scenery that will no longer follow the pattern that paved the way for the previous titles. Players will now be able to switch from Samurai to Ninja and vice versa when playing the game.
The Samurai Style: Honed, and Deadly
It will definitely be the same as series veterans know it, but it has been further enhanced by extending actions. "Arts Proficiency" makes martial arts more powerful, while the - "Deflect" lets players dodge enemies in the last possible moment. All these complements are for creating highly emotional, albeit hostile, face-to-face confrontations.
The Ninja Style: Speed and Subterfuge
For example, the Ninja mode has speed, Craze, and aerial actions more than dodging or quick moving. Weapons that allow players to attack out of their enemy's reach using different methods called "Ninjitsu" such as "Mist" leaving clone after it strikes, and "Evade" helps to avoid being hit really close to enemy strikes. In other words, it moves around and attacks swiftly from the rear.
