Launch of the Xiaomi Pad 8 Series Teased Officially
Xiaomi is preparing to unveil the Pad 8 series tablets, which will probably be accompanied by the Xiaomi 17 smartphone series. While official specifications are yet to be revealed, a teaser picture has been released showing two new models, most likely the standard Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro.
Design and Confirmed Features from the Teaser
The teaser image has confirmed several other key details with regard to the upcoming tablets. The general look and feel appear to follow the standard line of the previous generation. This image clearly shows support for accessories, including a stylus and keyboard cover, thereby positioning these tablets as potential candidates for creative and productivity tasks.
Processor Leaks and Performance Expectations
While Xiaomi has not yet confirmed internal hardware, recent leaks suggest non-Ultra models of the Pad 8 series would be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. This might prove to be a considerable performance upgrade over the globally available Xiaomi Pad 7 series that used Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 for its standard and Pro models, respectively.
This processor choice is interesting, as even the incoming and globally available Xiaomi Pad Mini has been confirmed to use Dimensity 9400+, not the very latest chipset. The use of Snapdragon 8 Elite in Pad 8 Pro should definitely have more than enough juice to satisfy the requirements of most users.
