Russian Gamer, 60, Documents Decade of Gaming in a Notebook
A 60-year-old man from Elektrostal, Russia, has attracted the attention of the online gaming community with his peculiar method of tracking completed video games. He has used a rustic notebook to record games completed for the past 10 years instead of using digital spreadsheets or applications.
Decade-long Commitment, 71 Games Played
The man has been a loyal customer at the same game store for the past 10 years, buying discs and then tracing his progress in his handwritten notebook. The 71 games completed demonstrate quite a wide-ranging taste in modern games for his present list.
Some of the notable mentions in his finished games include:
- Elden Ring
- Far Cry Primal
- Control
- Detroit: Become Human
- Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
- Batman: Arkham Knight
- Resident Evil 3
While he does not rate the games or give them an actual score, he usually writes minor notes with little details like the genre of a game or some details from the game setting.
An Evolving Gaming Journey
His gaming journey started on a PlayStation 3 linked to an ancient cathode-ray tube (CRT) television. The urge to play near-new next-gen console exclusives became his ticket for serious upgrading.
He traded off his entire collection of 130 game discs and five PS3 consoles to acquire a PlayStation 4 Pro and an up-to-snuff display. More recently, he, now more than ever faithful and grateful towards his passion for gaming, has again upgraded to a PlayStation 5 and has plunged into gaming on the latest hardware.
