Creative Presents the Sound Blaster Re:Imagine Modular Audio Hub
For reviving the iconic Sound Blaster brand beloved in the past, Creative Technology couldn't choose a classic sound card, but shall excite it with a newly released sound hub the Sound Blaster Re:Imagine. Retro-inspired yet highly contemporary, this new modular audio hub is quite possibly the first open, programmable platform.
Customizable, Programmable Platform
The Sound Blaster Re:Imagine functions as an audio card and as a highly flexible control panel. It is modular and is designed either for horizontal or vertical usage. It comes with four main control devices which could hence be moved around and programmed to function in various tasks:
- Display screen
- Block of four buttons
- An encoder knob
- A second pair of sliders
The users could integrate the programming of these controls to manage audio, streaming software, or even smart home devices through the new communication protocol Matter.
Key Technical Specification
The internal hardware carries the spirit of modern performance and high-fidelity sound:
- Processor: An octa-core ARM processor with an integrated neural block (NPU) considering it is capable of up to 6 TOPS, in essence.
- Memory and Storage: 8 GB, 16 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot.
- Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6.
- Audio Hardware: a studio-grade DAC that capable of resolving at 32-bit / 384 kHz and an amplifying able to drive headphones of up to 300 Ohms Impedance.
Nostalgic Feature DOS Gaming
To tie in with nostalgia from the brands 90s, Creative has also featured capability to play DOS games on the Re:Imagine built-in display.
Kickstarter Launch and Availability
The Re:Imagine Sound Blaster is available for ordering from Kickstarter at an initial price tag of $299. Deliveries are predicted to commence in July 2026.
