Sometime Soon in Elder Scrolls Online, Community-Limited 'Battle for the Writhing Wall' Event
ZeniMax Online has put to the floor the event of "Battle for the Writhing Wall" in The Elder Scrolls Online. In a significant departure from the usually followed update pattern, this event has been simultaneously launched for all platforms, PC, Mac, and consoles. The event is at the heart of the "Seasons of the Worm Cult" storyline, which gives the entire community access to an assault on the magical barrier that has prevented contact beyond Western Solstice in the past.
Phased Structure of the Event Three Assailments
The Writhing Wall is a cult of necromancy by souls that is going to be under siege in three clear phases, and it is up to community action to influence the lengths to which the first two phases will extend.
Phase 1 Supply and Defense
In the first phase, players will aid Stirk Fellowship in resource gathering and defense of siege camps against the Worm Cult. Activities of note include:
- Taking part in skirmishes over siege camps.
- Repel planar incursion that will happen throughout Tamriel.
- Cleansing Worm Cult holds and public dungeons, all of which will boast much more powerful monsters and act as the focus for daily quests from the NPC Orinde Glenuvon.
Any player can contribute towards the global progress of this phase, except that accepting any missions centered in the Solstice area is limited to 2025 Content Pass holders.
Phase 2 The Assault Begins
The next phase raises both stakes and stakes as it intensifies and the assault on the Writhing Wall begins in earnest. The players need to ramp it up by:
- Defending more siege camps from the increased and tougher Worm Cult incursions.
- New world boss, potent Daedra Ghishzor, joins the battle in Solstice.
In a similar fashion with the first phase, all players can participate in the war effort, while specific quests remain exclusive to 2025 Content Pass holders in Solstice.
Phase 3 Breaching the Fortified Entrapment
As soon as the Writhing Wall is unwrapped, the final phase begins. This phase is focused on destroying the public instance of the Writhing Fortress. Important particulars regarding phase are:
- That phase will be closed to players who do not have a 2025 Content Pass.
- First successful completion of Writhing Fortress on a given server triggers the end of the event.
- Upon triggering, the third phase and the event as a whole would run for one week and then end.
