GIGABYTE Launches G27UP Dual-Mode Monitor with 4K and 320Hz Versions
Today, GIGABYTE introduced its latest dual-mode monitor - the G27UP - for use at work or for high-performance gaming. The monitor uses the Super Speed IPS panel with a wide color gamut of 95% DCI-P3 and134% sRGB.
Two Mode Switching Work and Play
Indeed, the most important aspect of the G27UP is that it has two separate display modes that differentiate from each other according to needs
- 4K Mode: rooted in a 3840×2160 resolution at 160Hz refresh rate, perfect for content creation, work, or indulging in attractive visually rich games.
- 1080p Mode: At 1920x1080, mind-boggling 320Hz, it is for competitive gaming, where time is of the essence for winning.
Switching between these modes is done by the "Tactical Dual Mode," with just one mouse click to switch from one mode to another. The panel boasts a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a maximum brightness of 400 nits.
Gaming Features and System Technology
The G27UP is replete with various technologies whose functions can directly or indirectly enhance the gaming experience:
- Aim Stabilizer Sync: Motion blur can be minimized with the combination between variable refresh rates and lighting control.
- Smart OD: Automatically changes overdrive levels according to the current refresh rate.
- Night Vision: It helps clarify details in an obscure in-game scene.
- Adaptive Sync: tearfreeness with both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync.
- Eye Care: Flicker-free technology certified by TÜV Rheinland and a blue light filter.
The monitor also supports HDR10 and has a better cooling system in place so that performance is not hindered.
Connective and Ergonomic
The G27UP has an ample array of ports as well as a well-designed stand:
- Ports: Two HDMI 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.4 (with DSC), a USB Type-C port with 15W charging, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a downward USB 2.0 Type-A port for firmware updates.
- Stand: 130mm height adjustment allows fuller peripheral positioning for more ergonomic use.
