Maxsun and Abee Debut Single-Slot Liquid-Cooled Arc Pro B60 48G GPU
Maxsun enhances artificial intelligence application with the New Slimmed Intel Arc Pro B60 48G Graphics card. And in a bid to collaborate with a Japanese hardware manufacturer Abee, it had developed a liquid-cooling model, thereby reducing the GPU form factor dimensions to just a single slot and thus allowing much denser multi-GPU configurations.
More Enabling Configurations of GPUs for AI
Previously, for example, Maxsun's AI workstation-on-a-W790, had seven available PCIe x16 slots, hence leaving sufficient space for integrating other GPUs; however, a limitation of using four dual-slot Arc Pro B60 48G Turbo GPUs was met due to clearance issues. This new "Liquid Edition" GPU has solved this issue.
Integrating this cooling solution of Abee liquid, made it able to take form as a single PCIe slot-slim GPU. That now allows installing as much as seven Arc Pro B60 48G Liquid Edition GPUs simultaneously on Maxsun's W790 motherboard.
- Original Configuration (Turbo Edition): Up to four dual-slot GPUs, totaling 192 GB of VRAM.
- New Configuration (Liquid Edition): Up to seven single-slot GPUs, totaling a massive 336 GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
In reality, this newly formed structure results in a total increase of 1.75 as far as video memory is concerned, thus rendering this installation significantly more powerful in stressful AI processes.
Liquidation Hook and Chassis
The side orientation of cooling loop connectors within the GPU does facilitate an easy installation of the whole system into any appropriate chassis, for example, the large and well-ventilated Abee Designer C700W, which is engineered around large radiators that are necessary for the cooling of multi-GPU systems of this magnitude.
Maxsun stated: "With abee's Liquid Edition redesign, the same B60 evolves into a slimmer and more efficient solution - engineered to fit seamlessly across all seven full-speed PCIe 5.0 x16 slots."
Expected Cost and Availability
Official pricing hasn't been stated yet, but estimates put pricing at $1,300 - $1,500 for each card, meaning unsurprisingly, a complete seven-GPU assembly would cost anywhere from $9,000 to $10,000 worth of graphics cards alone.
Neither of the two has been revealed about the pricing and availability situation concerning the Arc Pro B60 48G Liquid Edition nor the full AI workstation from Maxsun. There awaits more to be revealed.
