The Nubia Z80 Ultra, elaborately equipped with a true full-screen display and powered by none other than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, is now out there. It has been made official by Nubia as the new flagship smartphone Z80 Ultra. With a back-to-front design philosophy that understands the need for a full-head camera to present an uninterrupted view, it has further remodeled its internal hardware with a powerful bearing of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor manifesting along with this advanced camera configuration.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor sits at the core of the Nubia Z80 Ultra. The Z80 Ultra is equipped with as much as 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The Red Magic 3.0 Engine features in the Nubia Z80 Ultra for gaming purposes and is the same technology that Nubia's dedicated gaming smartphones use. It flaunts improved physical buttons too that support various levels of pressure for additional control in games and regular use.

Battery and Charging

The Z80 Ultra is fitted with a large 7200 mAh Nanhai 4th-generation battery by Nubia. The new AI Zero Power technology allows the battery to conserve itself overnight. All kinds of charging available:

  • Wired charging: 90W fast charging.
  • Wireless charging: 80W wireless charging.
  • Reverse charging: Reverse wireless charging to charge other devices.

Nubia claims the Z80 Ultra clings for up to 35 hours on the go.

Advanced Camera System

The main camera consists of a 50-megapixel module making its presence felt with a focal length on the 35mm equivalent. Joining it is a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera (1/1.55" sensor) and a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with the OmniVision OV64B sensor. For camera-enthusiasts, Nubia is also launching an extension to the device that includes a photo kit for a more camera-type experience.

Pricing and Availability

In China, the Nubia Z80 Ultra's pricing starts at 4,999 yuan (about $700) for the 12 GB of RAM with 512 GB of storage version. The separate photo kit accessory will cost another 669 yuan (around $94).
