Over 4 Million Units Sold For ARC Raiders, Surpassed All-Time Peak Of 700k Concurrent Players

Embark's new title ARC Raiders debuted successfully by selling over four million units worldwide across all platforms. According to Nexon, the game has set a new record for the PvPvE extraction shooter as far as worldwide launches are concerned. This was evidenced over the past weekend when it hit a new peak of concurrent players somewhere over 700,000.

Nexon Confirms Launch is Record-Breaking

Meanwhile, sales numbers were very much in the ballpark of, if not higher than, Alinea Analytics, which initially estimated sales of 2.5 million units in the first week. Lee Jeong-hun, CEO of NEXON, expressed gratitude towards Embark Studios for the success.

"We're really blown away by how enthusiastic our player community has been and look forward to really building on that momentum with our plans for the future," Jeong-hun stated, confirming new maps, vehicles, weapons, and quests will start hitting this month.

Analysing Player Numbers

While the whole of 700,000 was for total concurrent players across PCs and consoles, SteamDB has its own data indicating how much of this a share of that even came from PC, where there's a new record of 462,488 concurrent players captured only on Steam. Since the launch on October 30, 2025, it maintained over 100,000 concurrent players on Steam.

Embark Studios' Proven Track Record

ARC Raiders is the second release from Embark Studios, formed by former Battlefield developers from DICE. Their first game, the free-to-play shooter The Finals, saw a great launch at first and then dropped players but has now recovered. Embark CEO Patrick Söderlund confirmed recently that this resurgence ensures The Finals will be supported for years to come, showing the studio's capability in maintaining a live-service game.

The Future of ARC Raiders

With a launch much larger than The Finals, the immediate challenge for Embark is to capitalize on this initial momentum with continued engagement. The developer has a content roadmap for the remainder of 2025, and the steady player base provides a sound foundation for the game's future as it aims to maintain its current spotlight in the gaming industry.
