What Else is Coming for ARC Raiders in 2025
Less than a week after its launch, the extraction shooter by Embark Studios, titled ARC Raiders, made headlines by accumulating over 250,000 concurrent players on Steam, collecting records for simultaneous players of an extraction shooter and leaving behind the launch numbers of Embark's other game, The Finals. With this triumphant start, Embark has already presented a roadmap for the content of ARC Raiders up until the end of 2025.
The roadmap will see two major updates going live in November and December, with no specific content at this point announced for either update.
A little bit details are given on the content for each:
- November Update: A new map called Stella Montis will release alongside new ARC machines called the Matriarch and the Shredder. New quests and community events will also be included as part of this update.
- December Update: The update shall see Snowfall holiday map conditions, a new expedition, and a new raider deck, in addition to more quests and community events.
Launching Smoothly and Standing by the Players
In this roadmap announcement, Embark sent out a message to its community:
"We are so thankful to have you on this journey with us, and we will continue to refine and grow the game with your feedback in mind. Keep your eyes on the horizon. This is only the beginning of what is in store for ARC Raiders."
So far, in addition to planning for the future, Embark has patched immediate concerns with a hotfix regarding server and animation troubles. The launch was quite stable, with no major reports of broken servers or interminable queues; a welcome change for an indie studio of such repute in developing online multiplayer games.
