Teaser Gives Possible Mate 80 Pro Max

Yu Chengdong (CEO, Huawei Consumer Business Group) released a teaser showcasing one of the new Mate 80 phones. The phone seen is surely the Mate 80 Pro Max that was rumored to replace the old "Pro+" variant. The phone sports a gold finish and the ubiquitous circular rear camera setup.

Interestingly, the teaser shows a second-such circular cutout on the back. This leads to speculation that Huawei is introducing a variant of MagSafe to work with magnetic accessories and peripherals.

Mate X7 Foldable to Get Huge Makeover

Near the Mate 80 series introduction, Huawei will announce the Mate X7, a successor to last year's Mate X6 foldable. Recent leaks say Mate X7 will be getting a major overhaul. Rumors say it is set to come with a massive 7.95-inch inner display in 2K resolution.

Key Hardware on Expected Lines-Kirin 9030 Chip

Both the upcoming Mate 80 series smartphones and the Mate X7 foldable are expected to get powered by the new Kirin 9030 processor. Leaks also suggest that the devices could be configured with up to 20GB RAM, thereby promising high-end performance.
