The OneXFly Apex Gaming Handheld Now Comes with AMD Strix Halo APUs
The latest and high-end Windows gaming handheld from One-Netbook, OneXFly Apex, has been made available for worldwide booking. This state-of-the-art device from One-Netbook is set with AMD's newest Strix Halo APUs, incorporated a 120Hz VRR screen, and optional liquid cooling for optimum performance.
Core Performance AMD Strix Halo
Compared to other OneXFly products, the Apex model improves performance significantly. It has two new AMD Strix Halo APUs based on Zen 5 architecture:
- Ryzen AI Max 385: 8 CPU cores and a Radeon 8050S GPU.
- Ryzen AI Max+ 395: 16 CPU cores and a somewhat superior integrated Radeon 8060S GPU.
Cooling Systems Standard vs. Liquid
One-Netbook is offering two different variants under the Apex brand name because of differences in their cooling solutions.
- Standard Version: The air-cooled model has an operating weight of 669g while limiting the APU to an 80W power cap along a similar route from an APU design perspective.
- Liquid Cooled Version: This version has an integrated liquids cooling system while raising the weight to 739g (70g difference) to allow the APU to work at a higher 120W level for maximum performance.
Memory and Storage Configurations
This means OneXFly Apex has very high memory and storage configurations:
- RAM: Configurable up to 128 GB memory LPDDR5X running at 8000 MT/s.
- Storage: Up to 2 TB internal storage PCIe 4.0 by default. External expandable with microSD and Mini SSD slot, 8 TB total across three drives-max.
Display and Other Core Features
This is what all Apex variants stay with in the specs below:
- Display: 8 IPS panel, 1920×1200 resolution, 120Hz variable refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, and 100% sRGB coverage.
- Battery: 85 Wh external.
- Audio: Harman tuned bottom-firing speakers.
