Samsung Reportedly Plans AI-Centric Galaxy Unpacked for S26 Series in February 2026
South Korean tech giant Samsung has earmarked February 25, 2026, as the next date for hosting the upcoming AI-centric Galaxy Unpacked event. Reports have indicated that Samsung will play around this date to announce the Galaxy S26 series. As per the tipster jukan, the event would be staged in San Francisco and convey a central theme centered on artificial intelligence.
Returning to its roots in San Francisco but altered timing
First Unpacked event in San Francisco from Samsung in three years, the last being the launch of the Galaxy S23 series in 2023. This report marks a shift into a slightly delayed time, having typically scheduled its S-series debut in late January or early February, and adds to the late-February timing.
Major Abolition in S26 Family No 'Edge' Model
One of the striking facts presented in this report is that there will be no S26 Edge during the February launch event. Instead, thinness would be replaced with a model called 'Plus', serving as an addition to the principal family.
This decision also qualifies to be engaged with some earlier rumors that have arisen concerning the S26 Edge because those rumors reported that Samsung had been evaluating the future of the device after poor sales performance of the S25 Edge. Apple's simultaneous pains with its thin iPhone Air model have also been mentioned in the German newspapers as a cause.
The Future of Slim Models The 'More Slim' Project
The S26 Edge may not be part of the main launch event, but word is that Samsung is in the process of developing an even thinner curve-called-more slim. It is touted to be a unique product distinction for the company.
If at all such "More Slim" device reaches the market, then it will not be before several months post the major Unpacked event, and it is expected to replace the S26 FE model. For better understanding, the earlier S25 Edge was announced in May 2025-not anywhere close to the announcement of the main S25 family.
