Anicorn Presents the New Watches for the 30th Anniversary of PlayStation
Watchmaking company Anicorn has made the announcement for the two recently launched timepieces to continue the celebrations for PlayStation's 30th anniversary. Included in this collection are the PlayStation Anicorn- Play Symbol and a truly limited PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch. Both models are expected to come out on December 18.
PlayStation Anicorn- Play Symbol
The Play Symbol is a quartz watch in two various representations: Dark Mode and Light Mode. Both variations of the watch feature round cases, black leather straps, and a dial displaying the PlayStation logo alongside its characteristic face button symbols (triangle, circle, cross, square).
- The black case and dial of the Dark Mode version are complemented by a white PlayStation logo, while the symbols are in their traditional colors.
- The Light Mode version utilizes a silver case with a white dial, complemented by a black PlayStation logo and gray symbols.
Both the Play Symbol watch versions will come in a clear case.
PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch
This is a collector's piece, strictly limited to 300 watches. Its design is directly derived from the original PlayStation console.
- Movement: Miyota 9039 mechanical movement; power reserve approximately 42 hours when fully wound.
- Case and Materials: 42.8mm octagonal case, made from 316L stainless steel and protected via sapphire glass. Water resistance to 5 ATM.
- Design Details: The dial features PlayStation symbols at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions. The crown is inscribed with the word "power"; the quick-release FKM rubber strap features tiny PlayStation symbols.
- Packaging: Presented in a special retail box, which includes a PlayStation badge.
Anicorn Memory Capsule Accessory
Along with the watches, Anicorn has created a "Memory Capsule." This NFC-enabled device is designed to visually imitate the Memory Card from the first PlayStation. According to Anicorn, users can save, view, and overwrite information on the capsule.
Release Information
Bids for both the PlayStation Anicorn-Play Symbol watches and 300 units of the PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch will open at 10 PM EST on December 18.
