The Motherboard is in Store from Aoostar with Mini-ITX Form Factor Leveraging Mobile Ryzen 9 9955HX3D
Introducing a new Mini-ITX board in MoDT specification; a full mobile processor attached to a desktop board is made by Aostar as the base of an ultra-compact gaming PC.
Processor Description AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D
The board features the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D mobility CPU with 3D V-Cache technology for speed and has the following specifications:
- Cores/Threads: 16 Cores / 32 Threads
- Max Boost Frequency: 5.4 GHz
- TDP Range: 54 W base, configurable between 75 W and 135 W.
AMD's internal benchmarks show that the raw computing powers of the chip are on par with those of the Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX; however, it seems to outperform it in most gaming scenarios.
Motherboard Technical Specifications
The motherboard is built on the X870M chipset and gives a modern feature set for high-performance builds.
- Power Delivery: 8-phase system
- Expansion Slot: 1x PCIe 5.0 x16 for a graphics card
- Storage: 2x M.2 SSD slots and 4x SATA (6 Gbps) ports
- Memory: 2x DDR5-5600 DIMM slots, capable of accommodating up to 128 GB RAM
- Connectivity: 10 Gbps Ethernet, USB-C, and 4x USB-A ports
Board Design and Cooling
Heatsinks mounted on the VRM and the chipset are used for thermal management on the motherboards. Processors will be protected by metal plates, while standard tower-style AM4 or AM5 CPU coolers will still fit on the board. For CPU power, a standard 8-pin connector will be used.
Pricing Details
No one has announced an official price for the motherboard, but industry media estimates its cost to reach nearly $500.
