ASRock Launched Mainstream Motherboards in Rock Series

ASRock has announced the latest Rock Series line of motherboards, intended for "common builders" that will necessitate support for products that are both alive and unborn. The series is introduced with four models ATX-sized B850 Rock WiFi 7 and B860 Rock WiFi 7, and microATX B850M Rock WiFi and B860M Rock WiFi.

A Practical Feature Set in a Neutral Design

Moving away from extreme gaming aesthetics, the Rock Series offers a neutral design applicable to more builds. All motherboards in the series come equipped with a standard set of modern features:

  • Integrated Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 7 for all ATX models)
  • 2.5GbE Networking
  • PCIe 5.0 support for next-gen components
  • Pre-installed I/O shield for easy installation

Future-Proofing and Enhanced Reliability

With the B850 chipset models, ASRock has integrated a key feature for future longevity. These motherboards have an increased BIOS memory capacity of 64 MB so that they can ensure support for future AM5 socket processors and have the significantly reduced risk of running out of space during firmware updates.

The company again pushed heavy on stability; the boards of the Rock Series, according to ASRock, are made on fully automated production lines with strict quality control, thus endowing them with reliability levels close to those more expensive counterparts.

The Rock Series Lineup

  • B850 Rock WiFi 7 (ATX)
  • B860 Rock WiFi 7 (ATX)
  • B850M Rock WiFi (microATX)
  • B860M Rock WiFi (microATX)
