Asus CES 2026 Laptop Lineup With Zenbook A16, Zenbook Duo (2026), Refreshed A14, and ExpertBook Ultra
For the majority of its laptop range, Asus has rolled out quite some refreshing updates at CES 2026, such as its ultra-portable, consumer laptops, experimental designs with two screens, and premium business machines.
The announcements also highlight Asus's increased dependency on both Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 Elite platform and Intel's fresh Panther Lake architecture, targeting efficient battery life and performance with lightweight designs.
Zenbook A16: Snapdragon Power in a 16-Inch Ultrabook
The latest addition to the Zenbook A16 family marks the expansion of the Asus Snapdragon Ultrabook A-series into dimensions larger than 14 inches. Competing directly with large-screen ultrabooks, the new A16 combines a slim chassis with a high-end specification.
At its heart, the laptop can configure to include the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme with declarations for up to 18 Oryon CPU cores and a reported 65 W TDP. Memory options scale up to 48 GB of RAM, paired with up to 1 TB of SSD storage, positioning the A16 as one of the most powerful ARM-based Windows laptops announced so far.
Visual appeal comes with the Zenbook A16, which flaunts a 3K OLED panel at 16 inches in a dazzling display with refresh rates up to 120 Hz and peak brightness of 1,100 nits. The system is powered by 70 Wh batteries that Asus describes as designed to last longer but has a great ability to keep the weight down to just 1.2 kg and between 13.8 mm and 16.5 mm thick.
Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1, USB4, USB-A, and an SD 4.0 card reader, alongside wide support for Wi-Fi 7. Asus intends to introduce the Zenbook A16 later this quarter but has yet to provide pricing and exact availability information.
Zenbook Duo (2026): Dual OLED Displays Meet Intel Panther Lake
Asus has officially introduced the Zenbook Duo (2026), an inspired hybrid laptop. The new version comes with significant performance, battery capacity, and display technology upgrades from the 2025 model.
Intel's Panther Lake development platform is the major one for the Zenbook Duo (2026). The configurations are expected to peak with an upcoming Core Ultra X9 classification processor. This is paired with either a maximum of 32 GB of RAM or a maximum of 2 TB of SSD storage, targeting enhanced multitasking and sustained performance.
One of the most notable upgrades is the new dual-battery system, which combined delivers an impressive capacity of 99 Wh while keeping the total weight at only 1.65 kg lighter than the previous model and with a smaller footprint overall.
Both 14-inch displays now feature OLED 2.8K resolution at a refresh rate of 144 Hz, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, making it a device specially designed for power users and creators. Port selection includes Thunderbolt 4 on both sides, complemented by a six-speaker audio system with front-facing stereo output.
Asus has indicated that the Zenbook Duo (2026) will start shipping to select markets before the end of the month, although pricing has not been announced.
Zenbook A14 (2026): Lightweight Snapdragon Laptop Gets a Refresh
With a suitably lightweight touch, the updated Zenbook A14 retains its basic identity as an ultra-light laptop running on Snapdragon technology. Still weighing well below 1 kg, the refreshed version of A14 continues to hold on portability without changing anything major in the design.
The major improvement comes in the facade of the Snapdragon X2 Elite processor, though Asus has not specified the particular variant in use. The battery capacity has not changed and still stands at 70 Wh, yet the company claims the device can achieve more than 28 hours of video playback dethroning all emphasis on multi-day battery life.
The display is still at 14-inches FHD OLED, while cooling is effectively managed with a lightweight dual-fan system designed keeping thermal needs against its weight. Other features include Dolby Atmos audio, reinforced chassis durability, and built-in privacy protections. Pricing and timing were not disclosed, but the prior generation debuted at $899.
ExpertBook Ultra: Asus Targets the Premium Business Segment
The Asus ExpertBook Ultra B9406CAA is a top-of-the-range business laptop designed especially for high-flying executives and enterprise users as the final announcement. The ExpertBook Ultra emerges as an alternative to the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and EliteBook X in an environment where it continues to highlight premium materials performance and portability.
At its heart, the 14-inch laptop sports an Intel Panther Lake processor that scales all the way up to the Core Ultra X9 388H variant, along with up to 64 GB RAM – as well as 2 TB of SSD storage – integrated display options such as 2.8K Tandem OLED touchscreens capable of reaching brightness peak as high as 1,400 nits, rendering them useful by both indoor and outdoor standards.
Although equipped with a 70 Wh battery, the ExpertBook Ultra weighs 1.09 kg, thanks to its aluminum chassis and the connectivity varieties include two USB-A ports, HDMI, and dual Thunderbolt 4 while audio is handled by a six-speaker setup. Cooling supports a sustained power draw of an upward 50 W, though this might not go down well with some corporate buyers due to the lack of built-in 5G.
As for the other CES 2026 announcements, Asus has just promised no details regarding pricing or availability for the ExpertBook Ultra.
