HyperX Announces Origins 2 Gaming Keyboard Series at CES 2026
At CES 2026, HP introduced the HyperX Origins 2 series, a new lineup of gaming keyboards. Currently, three models exist Origins 2 Pro 65, Origins 2 65, and Origins 2 1800, all of which support an 8kHz polling rate for low input latency.
HyperX Origins 2 Pro 65
This is a 65% form factor keyboard designed with premium features.
- Switches: Hall Effect linear magnetic switches for smoother inputs and Rapid Trigger technology.
- Mounting: O-ring mounting style for a cleaner sound profile.
- Customization: Features a swappable housing.
HyperX Origins 2 65
This model retains the compact 65% form factor with a focus on customization.
- Switches: Regular mechanical switches (HyperX Linear Red) that are hot-swappable.
- Customization: Also features a swappable housing.
HyperX Origins 2 1800
It is a full-sized keyboard laid out over a more compact 1800 format.
- Switches: Regular linear mechanical switches.
- Mounting: Light sound and bounce from O-ring plate mounting.
- Customization: Replaceable housing.
Shared Features & Availability
All three keyboards in the HyperX Origins 2 series are wired-only and come with per-key RGB lighting. HP will announce details of pricing and availability for the new lineup soon.
HyperX Reveals Clutch Tachi Leverless Controller at CES 2026
With CES 2026, HyperX is entering the leverless controller market with the Clutch Tachi. This new fight pad unifies TMR sensor technology and adjustable magnetic switches to improve durability and precision.
Core Features and Technology
The Clutch Tachi is designed for competitive gamers who need maximum speed and accuracy.
- Switch Technology: TMR sensors and adjustable magnetic switches are used. Actuation points can be adjusted in increments of 0.25mm across an overall distance of 2.5mm.
- Ergonomics: Larger than many competitors, with adjustable feet and a sizable wrist rest for comfort.
- Customization: RGB lighting, pudding keycaps, and a transparent top plate for custom artwork. Buttons can be swapped for 3D-printed alternatives. Customization is handled via the Ngenuity app.
- Competition Ready: Ship with four different SOCD (Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions) modes.
Compatibility and Availability
HyperX Clutch Tachi is a wired USB 2.0 accessory supporting compatibility with a PC, Xbox consoles, and Android devices. The available variant presently will not function with the PS5.
