Motorola Unveils New Smartwatch, Stylus, and Speaker at CES 2026
Motorola announced three new devices at CES 2026: the Moto Watch, developed in collaboration with Polar; the Moto Pen Ultra, a smart stylus for its premium phones; and the Moto Sound Flow, a high-end portable speaker.
Moto Watch: A joint venture with Polar
The new Moto Watch is a round-faced watch with a 1.43-inch OLED display, housed in a 47mm aluminum case with a stainless steel crown. It is IP68 rated against dust and water ingress and uses Gorilla Glass 3 for scratch resistance.
Design and Health Features
Standard 22mm band sizes are utilized to offer choices of stainless steel, silicone, or leather strap. An important highlight is that Polar technology is used for its high-level health profile tracking. The watch provides continuous heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring and tracks daily steps, stress, and sleep quality.
Other Polar-specific features include:
- Smart Calories: Measures the energy burned during and after exercising.
- Nightly Recharge: Assess overnight recovery as the body's reaction to stress.
The watch comes with hydration and medication reminders, dual-frequency GPS, and a built-in microphone and speaker for calls.
Battery and Pricing
Battery life is claimed to be up to 13 days or 7 days with always-on display enabled; 5 minutes of charging will run the watch for a full day. The full steel case Moto Watch is priced at €149.99, while with the silicone strap, it is available at €99.99. It is unselectively available in regions and works with Android 12 and later.
Moto Pen Ultra: A Smart Stylus for Premium Phones
Motorola has also unveiled the Moto Pen Ultra, a smart stylus tailored as a companion to Motorola's premium offering: the Motorola Signature and the Razr Fold smartphones. The pressure-sensitive stylus has the ultra-fine tip for shading and palm rejection.
The software suite comprises:
- Quick Clip: Users can annotate content and drop it into notes.
- Speed Share: Intelligence to suggest contacts for sharing notes.
- Sketch-to-Image: Takes rough sketches and fine-tunes them into finished images.
The smart pen supports Google's Circle-to-Search feature. With a charging case, it delivers a full-day experience. Pricing and availability have yet to be announced.
Moto Sound Flow: A Premium Portable Speaker
The Moto Sound Flow is cylindrical and sports an IP67 rating, dressed in a showy plain twill-textured fabric. The speaker will be available in Pantone Carbon (black) and Pantone Warm Taupe (brown).
Audio and Connectivity
The speaker has a 20W woofer, a 10W tweeter, and two passive radiators, while "Sound by Bose" takes care of the good sound. There are four microphones used for hands-free calling. The connectivity is plentiful, Bluetooth 5.0/Wi-Fi 5, Apple AirPlay, and Google Cast.
However, Ultra-Wideband (UWB) offers some exciting possibilities:
- Proximity Sensing: Audio is automatically transferred from a UWB phone the moment it gets close.
- Dynamic Stereo: Adjusts stereo channel outputs depending on the listener's position within a multi-speaker layout.
- Room Shift: Playback is shifted to the nearest speaker as you pass through the different rooms.
With up to 12 hours of playback on a 6,000mAh battery that charges using the dock or USB-C, pricing and availability details for the Moto Sound Flow is yet to be revealed.
