NVIDIA Reveals RTX Remix Logic and Major AI Performance Upgrades at CES 2026 Now
At CES 2026, NVIDIA introduced the RTX Remix Logic, a powerful new tool that aims to support game modders, and discussed the major free performance upgrades to the RTX AI PC platform.
RTX Remix Logic: A New Tool for Dynamic Game Modding
Giving users more freedom in modifying games, NVIDIA adds to the existing RTX Remix somehow using RTX Remix Logic, which will allow modders to introduce dynamic visual effects triggered by in-game events. The update is set for release this month via the NVIDIA app.
Key Features of RTX Remix Logic
- Event-Triggered Effects: The system can detect over 30 common in-game events; thus modders have more than 900 event triggers for manipulating visuals such as lighting, weather, and materials based on gameplay actions.
- No-Code Interface: It uses an intuitive user interface with a node system; no coding is required, making it accessible to a wider spectrum of creators.
- New Gameplay Systems: Modders can use the system to introduce new gameplay effects. Shows one example: a night vision effect for the crossbow in Half-Life 2 RTX, which automatically triggers when the player zooms.
- Extensibility: The system is designed to be extensible, allowing the community to keep adding more game event triggers and actions.
- Compatibility: RTX Remix Logic is compatible with over 165 classic games supported by the platform.
Also included in the update is a revamped Remix Runtime menu with options for customizing its size, theming, and transparency, courtesy of modder xoxor4d.
Free Performance Upgrade for RTX AI PCs
NVIDIA also announced a major free performance upgrade for RTX AI PCs, focused on faster LLM performance and new creative AI capabilities.
Core AI Performance Enhancements
- Native NVFP4 Support: NVFP4 support is being added to ComfyUI with potential 4.6x performance boosts for applications where it is supported. Also, the update leads to a reduction in model sizes by as much as 60% and lower VRAM usage through work now being offloaded to system memory.
- Faster LLM Inference: increased performance in large language models, such as GPT-OSS and Nemotron Nano V2 by 40% thanks to the update.
New AI Video Generation and Search Tools
- LTX-2 Audio-to-Video Model: A brand new RTX open weights model able to generate up to 4K video in 20 seconds. It will benefit from a 2.0x performance boost with NVFP8 support.
- Super Resolution for GenAI Videos: RTX Video will bring Super Resolution to ComfyUI in February, allowing users to upscale 720p AI-generated videos to 4K with greater detail. This reduces the overall time for generating a 10-second 4K video from 15 mins to 3 mins.
- AI Video Search: NVIDIA is bringing an RTX-optimized private search tool to Nexa Hyperlink, letting users index and search large video libraries based on objects, words, and actions.
These updates go to reinforce NVIDIA's positioning of its RTX platform as an elite solution for AI, providing continuous performance enhancement and new features to creators and developers alike.
