Amazing Durability Test of Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G in New Video

Right after its introduction, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G was put to a full durability test and teardown by tech blogger Zach Nelson, and according to him, it withstood all the other processes exceptionally well and was praised for its strong construction.

Durability Test Results

The phone is held together by a plastic frame and a fiberglass back panel, with the display protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Here are the important findings of the test:

  • Scratch Resistance: The screen got scratches at a level six on the Mohs scale of hardness.
  • Heat Resistance: It sustained a direct lighter flame for 25 seconds without damage to the display matrix.
  • Structural Integrity: The smartphone passed bent tests which excluded fracture attempts on both the screen and back panel.

Internal Teardown Highlights

The teardown started in a standard manner with heating and removing the rear panel. The internal study revealed several construction details:

  • Battery: A two-cell battery is secured with a couple of ribbon cables and is removed with the help of special pull tabs.
  • Cooling System: Under the battery, there is a big evaporation chamber. To help in heat dissipation, thermal paste is applied between the motherboard and the device's case.
  • USB Port: It is protected from water and dust with a thick, sticky rubber ring and located on a separate circuit board which makes it easy to replace.

After complete disassembly, the tech blogger successfully assembled Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G and confirmed it was running with full functionality.
