Bloober Team Reveals Layers of Fear 3 at 10th Anniversary Celebration
Bloober Team announced its development of Layers of Fear 3 during the 10th anniversary event which marked the milestone of its most important horror game series. The Polish studio revealed its project after Silent Hill 2 remake success because they had achieved both critical acclaim and commercial success.
Piotr Babieno and Mateusz Lenart explained that the gaming series helps develop the studio’s core identity. The series has explored the combination of artistic expression and mental breakdown since the first game was released in 2016. The franchise presents citizens with artistic mental states which enable them to experience artistic thinking through empathy instead of judgment because Lenart explained that perception between inspirational achievement and obsessive destructive drive should be experienced through this mental state presented in the game.
The announcement concluded with a live action teaser trailer. The video established a distinct tone through its key elements despite failing to provide either a launch window or specific platform details.

The franchise will expand into other media because Bloober Team announced a new game. The partnership with Foksal Publishing Group will produce two novels based on the series. The first book, written by Marta Bijan, is scheduled for release in late 2026. The studio announced that they will distribute the original game soundtracks through both CD and vinyl format releases.
The studio has expanded its project list through the addition of Layers of Fear 3. The mainline series development focuses on three active projects which Bloober Team is currently executing.
