AMD and Xbox Partnership Delivers FSR Diamond Through Project Helix

The partnership between AMD and Xbox will deliver FSR Diamond through their joint work on Project Helix. The two companies established their engineering partnership through Project Helix to develop future gaming technologies. The collaborative work of Jack Huynh from AMD and Asha Sharma from Xbox CEO links to their joint efforts in building new AI rendering technologies through advanced hardware connections. The project aim is to create next generation technology which works with existing Xbox game collection without any issues.

The main element of this partnership is the introduction of AMD FSR Diamond. The FSR Diamond version offers native Project Helix optimization through its complete Xbox Game Development Kit (GDK) integration. The technology introduces several advancements in machine learning (ML) and rendering which include the following.

Neural Rendering: The technology creates visual improvements for next gen systems through its architectural design. The new machine learning models provide enhancements to image clarity through ML Based Upscaling and Frame Generation which creates additional frames for better gaming experience. The dedicated solution for Real Time (RT) Ray Tracing and Path Tracing works to improve lighting quality in complex visual environments through its cleanup and enhancement capabilities.
