SEGA Releases Free Yakuza Powered by Nihon Touitsu English Miniseries on YouTube Featuring Kazuma Kiryu and Faithful Game Retelling

SEGA has expanded its latest Like a Dragon adaptation by releasing the English version of Yakuza Powered by Nihon Touitsu on YouTube. The three part miniseries which originally premiered in Japan during February 2026 is now available to worldwide viewers through SEGA or watch with us bellow you can find all episods. The release comes after a series of adaptations which included major television series created by Amazon and MGM Studios in late 2024.

The new production was developed by the creators of the Nihon Touitsu drama and serves as a retelling of the original 2005 crime action game. The project has received strong positive feedback from fans because of its low budget visual style which depends on green screen effects. The creators of the show developed the events to match exactly with the first appearance of the series which they presented without using creative improvisations that most television shows apply to their productions.

The story follows Kazuma Kiryu who spends ten years in prison because he killed his boss before he comes back to a disputed city. Yasukaze Motomiya plays Kiryu the main character while Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi plays Goro Majima the main character. Kazuhiro Nakaya plays Akira Nishikiyama while Kenji Matsuda plays detective Makoto Date who completes the casting list. The cast brings the original story about the ten billion yen mystery and Harukas safety to a new interpretation.

Despite the minimal production scale the series utilizes music videos from later games in the franchise to provide a nostalgic backdrop for the viewers. The global rollout of these episodes on YouTube ensures that long time followers of the saga can experience this specific interpretation of the Kamurocho underworld for free. The release serves as another phase of SEGAs plan to distribute Like a Dragon lore through multiple media channels which extend beyond standard console gaming.
