Intel Core Ultra 3 205T Processor Benchmarks Reveal Eight Core Architecture Performance Scores and Comparison to Earlier Generation CPU Models
The PassMark benchmarks show the first evidence of the Intel Core Ultra 3 205T processor. The Intel Core Ultra 3 205T has officially appeared on the PassMark CPU database as of March 18, 2026. The new entry reveals the first performance details of the budget tier "T" series from Intel's current generation processors. The processor features 8 cores and 8 threads while Intel continues its pattern of eliminating hyper threading to create a dedicated core division system.
The Core Ultra 3 205T uses a mixed core design which combines power efficient cores with high performance cores. According to benchmark results the system requires these hardware components
- Total Cores: 8 (4 Performance cores / 4 Efficient cores)
- Total Threads: 8
- L3 Cache: 15 MB
- L2 Cache: 4 x 3072 KB (P cores) and 1 x 4096 KB (E core cluster)
- Instruction Cache: 64 KB per core
Testing results show that Ultra 3 205T achieves performance levels which match existing low power desktop solutions. The chip achieved an average CPU Mark of 23,436. The low sample size creates a high error margin but the test suites demonstrate strong single core performance abilities.
The Multithread Rating of 23,436 ranks as the 759th fastest among all tested processors. The Single Thread Rating of 4,432 ranks as the 83rd fastest among all tested processors. The integer math performance measures 53,354 million operations per second. The data encryption speed reaches 16,834 megabytes per second. The floating point math performance measures 73,375 million operations per second.
The single thread performance of 4,432 is particularly notable, placing it just below the Intel Core i7 14700KF (4,470). The new architecture named "Ultra 3" provides high per core efficiency which enables users to handle basic tasks that involve mid to high end processors from earlier CPU generations.
The system offers lower multithreading performance compared to advanced processors such as the Ryzen 9 9950X3D (70,217) and Core Ultra 9 285K (67,373). The system delivers superior performance over the 8 core Apple M1 (14,130) making it suitable for low power desktop applications and compact computer builds that require efficient heat management and power consumption.
The Intel Core Ultra 3 205T pricing information remains unknown as of March 2026. The chip will operate at budget friendly price levels which office and home users need to access modern architecture without needing K series processor power consumption.
