Motorola Razr Fold Hardware Specs and 2026 Launch Details
Motorola has officially released the Razr Fold which serves as the brand's first book style foldable smartphone entry into the Razr series. The device introduces a new design element because it replaces the conventional flip structure of Razr phones with a tablet sized display area that supports professional work and creative tasks. The Razr Fold starts with a 6.6 inch external screen which unfolds to display an 8.1 inch 2K LTPO internal display.
The Razr Fold design aims to achieve a slim shape which maintains its complete structural strength. The device has a thickness of 4.6mm in its open position and 9.9mm in its closed position. The product comes with these durability features
- Hinge Mechanism The device uses a stainless steel teardrop hinge which protects the display from creating creases through its combination with a titanium inner screen plate.

DXOMARK has awarded the device first place among all foldable camera systems available in North America. The rear module contains three 50MP sensors

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform serves as the main operating system for the Razr Fold. This processor supports advanced "moto ai" features, such as "Catch me up" for notification summaries and "Pay Attention" for real time conversation transcription. The hardware includes 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of onboard storage.
Motorola has pledged to provide Android OS updates and security patches for seven years to support the device's long term usage. The system maintains its performance during heavy operations because of its dedicated liquid cooling system.
The Razr Fold offers the highest battery capacity among foldable devices with its 6000mAh capacity which uses silicon carbon technology to achieve its 4.6mm slim design. The charging process offers two distinct options for users
- Wired 80W TurboPower, which provides 12 hours of usage in 12 minutes.
- Wireless 50W TurboPower wireless charging.
The device supports the Moto Pen Ultra, a low latency stylus with pressure sensitivity for sketching and document annotation. Motorola launched a special edition FIFA World Cup 26 Collection which includes a 24K gold plated stainless steel logo and a textured raised dot pattern that improves grip.
The Motorola Razr Fold will roll out across Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia in the coming months. The device will include the Moto Pen Ultra as part of its package deal which will have a European market price of €1,999.
