Nubia Fold to Launch Worldwide as a Budget Friendly Foldable Option
At MWC 2026 Nubia announced that the Nubia Fold is coming to stores worldwide. It is meant to compete with top tier phones like the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Motorola Razr Fold. Nubia hopes to grab the attention of buyers in the mid to high end range by giving them top level specs but at a much lower cost. It should be available globally by late 2026 possibly hitting shelves by December.
One of the biggest things about the Nubia Fold is how cheap it is. The Galaxy Z Fold7 came out in Us for about €$2,119.99. Nubia wants to sell theirs for around €1,000. That is half the price It makes it the cheapest book style foldable that has been announced for sale worldwide.
The Nubia Fold runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This means it is equal to other high end smartphones out right now. The phone is already out in Japan so we know what the global version will offer
- Screen An 8 inch AMOLED main foldable screen and a 6.5 inch external screen
- Memory and Storage It comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage
- Battery It has a large 6,560 mAh battery with 55W wired fast charging
- Security There is a fingerprint sensor built into the power button
It has three lenses on the back and a high res front camera for selfies and video calls. The camera specs are
- Main Camera 50 MP
- Ultra Wide Lens 50 MP

- Front Camera 20 MP
After the success of the Nubia Flip the Nubia Fold is the company first attempt to sell a book style foldable outside of Asia. By using parts that are already being used in Japan and releasing it late in the year Nubia wants to challenge the more expensive foldable phones that are already on top. We expect to have more details about when it will launch in specific regions and which carriers will sell it as we get closer to Q4.
