ViewDock Gen2 Mini PC Launches on Kickstarter Combining AMD Ryzen Power with an Integrated Secondary Display and Wireless Smartphone Charging Dock for Compact Desktops
The ViewDock Gen2 has officially reached its production phase following a successful crowdfunding effort on Kickstarter. The hardware launch presents a new design which merges a high performance desktop computer with a specialized docking station for mobile devices. The unit includes a folding secondary display and integrated wireless charging to improve productivity on a compact desk setup.
The ViewDock Gen2 supports multiple AMD Ryzen processors together with its three available options of Ryzen 9 6900HX, Ryzen 7 7735H, and Ryzen 5 7640H. Users can configure the system with up to 64 GB of memory and dual solid state drive slots that provide a maximum of 4 TB of storage. The chassis employs a vapor chamber cooling system together with an internal fan to dissipate heat for maintaining performance during intensive operation.
The most distinctive feature of the device is the internal 4.5 inch display panel which offers a resolution of 480 by 854 pixels. The charging station next to the display provides a Qi wireless charging pad which supplies 15 Watts of power to enable charging of compatible smartphones. The setup enables users to observe system metrics together with secondary applications without using space on their main display.
The device offers strong connectivity options for its compact design because it supports USB 4 Type C and HDMI 2.1 along with DisplayPort 1.4. The rear IO panel also features two USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports plus a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet jack for high speed networking. The device uses Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 modules to provide users with reliable connections for their wireless devices.
The ViewDock Gen2 will commence its first shipment deliveries in August 2026. The barebones entry model starts at 639 dollars while users can select different pricing options according to their chosen Ryzen processor and memory capacity. The launch introduces a new design concept for mini PCs which enables mobile devices to be used directly within the computer case.
