Xiaomi 17 Series and Pad 8 Indian Launch Scheduled for March 11
Xiaomi India has confirmed that its latest flagship hardware, including the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and the Pad 8 tablet, will officially debut in the Indian market on March 11. The devices will use the same technical specifications as their worldwide counterparts which include high end Snapdragon silicon and advanced camera systems for the region.
The Xiaomi 17 series represents the brand's primary flagship offering for early 2026. The two handsets both use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor but they show substantial differences between their display performance and camera capabilities.
Xiaomi 17 provides a small 6.3 inch 120 Hz OLED display. The device includes a 6330 mAh battery which enables 100 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging. The camera system combines a quad 50 MP rear array with a 50 MP front facing sensor that features autofocus capability.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra serves as the high end photography solution which includes a 6.9 inch OLED display that supports variable refresh rates from 1 to 120 Hz. The camera system features a 200 MP telephoto lens and primary sensors with 50 MP ultra wide and front camera capabilities. The device contains a 6000 mAh battery.
Xiaomi Pad 8 will join the Indian tablet market together with the smartphones. The device delivers specifications that support productivity tasks and media consumption requirements.
The processor of the device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. The display uses an 11.2 inch IPS panel which operates at a 144 Hz refresh rate. The battery system provides 9200 mAh power which supports 45 W wired charging.
The official Xiaomi India online store and Amazon will sell the Xiaomi 17 17 Ultra and Pad 8 from their launch on March 11. Xiaomi has confirmed all hardware specifications but the company has not yet shared the official Indian pricing details for the three models. The launch event next week will reveal these details to the public.
The current announcement only reveals standard tablet model details and two flagship smartphones for the Indian market because there is no information about a Pro version of the Pad 8 in India.
