Xiaomi 17 Series and Pad 8 Debut Globally in Barcelona
At the Barcelona event, Xiaomi presented its flagship products for 2026 through the three devices Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and Pad 8 tablet. The company introduces its new devices through a partnership with Leica using advanced sensor technology and Qualcomm's most recent silicon results. The devices have started their worldwide distribution but they will remain unavailable in India until their scheduled release on March 11, 2026.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra Camera and Display Specifications
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra serves as the premium photography centric model. The device offers a 6.9 inch 2K M10 OLED LTPO display which delivers a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches a maximum brightness level of 3,500 nits. The display uses Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0 for protection while it enables Dolby Vision.

Xiaomi 17 Standard Model Performance
The Xiaomi 17 standard model delivers maximum performance through its compact design which targets users who need high performance from a smaller device. The Ultra model's display peak brightness level of 3,500 nits is achieved through a 6.3 inch 1.5K OLED display. The device includes a 6,330mAh battery which outmatches Ultra's battery capacity while it supports 100W wired fast charging.
The standard model camera system contains three 50MP cameras which include a 50MP main camera with Hyper OIS, a 50MP ultra wide camera, and a 50MP floating telephoto camera. The device operates on HyperOS 3 which uses Android 16 as its base system and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powers all of its features.
Xiaomi Pad 8 and Wearables
The Xiaomi Pad 8 emerged as an advanced tablet which offers high performance capabilities. The device features an 11.2 inch display with 3.2K resolution which supports a 144Hz refresh rate. The main hardware components consist of

The device comes in four color options Alpine Pink Ice Blue Black and Venture Green. The Ultra model is offered in Black, White, and Starlit Green. Both smartphones carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
