Call of Duty Movie Release Date Confirmed for June 2028 with Peter Berg Directing and Taylor Sheridan Writing the Screenplay
The first Call of Duty feature film from Activision will appear in theaters at its scheduled June 2028 premier. The Call of Duty franchise will now establish a confirmed release date for its upcoming film adaptation. Activision announced today that the live action adaptation will premiere in theaters globally on June 30 2028. The movie production has progressed at a rapid speed because the studio began work on the project after completing its initial agreement in December 2022.

The publisher has hired combat film experts to transform its military property into a cinematic experience. Director Peter Berg will bring his experience from previous theatrical works including Hancock and Mile 22 to the film. The screenplay is in the hands of Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan. The production chose Jim Bevan to play the main character instead of choosing established Hollywood stars because he will take on his first major leading role in this movie.
The film project is in its pre production stage as the team prepares for the start of principal photography. The film project has established its 2028 release date at this early development stage because Activision shows strong internal confidence about both creative direction and film production scheduling.
