Gothic Trilogy Ends PC Exclusive Status as THQ Nordic Announces PlayStation and Xbox Release Dates and Gothic 1 Remake Launch
The Gothic trilogy will break its PC exclusive status because THQ Nordic developed this plan to release the entire trilogy on both PlayStation and Xbox Series X. The publisher has established a distribution plan which will start in the middle of the year. The collection will begin with its first title which will be available on July 28 for new hardware while the second title will release on September 29 and the third title will launch on November 24. The publisher sells its games for $30 each but offers Gothic Classic as a pre order incentive to customers who buy Gothic 1 Remake.
The Gothic 1 Remake will launch on June 5 for PC PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X while the classic trilogy ports will be released separately. The franchise receives its first significant technical upgrade through this release which aims to deliver current console players the complete experience of the older versions. The publisher has announced that Gothic series will expand to mobile platforms by launching on iOS devices before 2026 ends while the exact timing of this launch remains unconfirmed.
THQ Nordic uses this initiative to increase interest in the Gothic intellectual property from both dedicated fans and new players.
