Xiaomi uses its internal cooling system to establish a new benchmark for smartphone thermal management through the device's core design. The design includes oversized fins to create a airflow system that maintains hardware stability during extended periods of high intensity gaming. The thermal envelope allows the MediaTek 9500 chipset to function together with the companys D2 secondary graphics processor.

The combination of these chips yields a reported AnTuTu v11 benchmark score of 4,161,374. The device's performance enables it to compete against leading devices such as the iQOO 15 Ultra. The system provides game specific performance control which enables users to achieve 165 FPS at 1.5K resolution in particular games.

The 165Hz AMOLED panel provides visual output through its 3,500 nits peak brightness and DCI P3 color gamut coverage. The system includes Dolby Vision support which improves the viewing experience. The dual speaker system uses Bose audio technology to create a tuned sound system which improves low frequency sounds and high frequency details.

The chassis contains an 8,550 mAh battery which provides a high capacity for mobile devices and supports 100W wired fast charging. The structure gains extra protection through its three rating systems which defend against both dust and water entry. Internal storage uses UFS 4.1 technologies together with LPDDR5X memory modules for storage. The rear camera system uses a 50 MP primary sensor as its foundation for all its camera features.

The Redmi K90 Max enters the Chinese market with a starting price of 3,499 CNY, approximately 519 USD, for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. Xiaomi wants to attract budget conscious gamers through its pricing strategy which sets the starting price lower than RedMagic 11 Pro's 4,999  CNY approximately 700USD launch cost. The device establishes a new standard for gaming smartphone performance cost throughout China which is available for immediate purchase.
