ASUS and XREAL ROG XREAL R1 AR Glasses Price Disclosure Features High 240Hz Refresh Rate and 171 Inch Virtual Screen for Gamers at 849 Dollars
ASUS and XREAL has disclosed the actual price that it would be selling the ROG XREAL R1 Augmented Reality Glasses for. The two companies claimed this to be the first AR glasses targeted for gamers and supporting a high 240Hz refresh rate. High speed visuals of this nature seem to be one of the primary difference from standard hardware like the XREAL One Pro which has only a 120Hz display. This high refresh rate would reduce the latency for better competition play, or smoother visuals during swift motion.
Under the hood, it's utilizing micro OLED display panels that could project a 171 inches virtual screen at a Full HD display resolution, thus you could carry a 171 inch screen around. In addition, it utilizes 3DoF tracking, and is able to "lock" the window at a fixed position in space without regards to the user's movement. The viewing field offered is 57 degrees, with a sound system powered by Bose tuned speakers. Connectivity on the glasses could also accommodate a PC as well as a smart phone or portable game console.
