OPPO Reno16 Specs and Camera hardware Breakdown

The base variant features a small build, dominated by a flat 6.32 inch OLED display of 1216x2640 pixels resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, and 3840Hz PWM dimming. Under the hood is a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset. It comes paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB UFS 3.1 storage. Powering it is a huge 6700mAh silicon carbon battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging.

The rear camera on this model is one of the strongest on a segment device with a 200MP Samsung HP5 sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens of Samsung JN5. It can do up to 3.5x optical zoom and comes with OIS. This is a big jump from what we are used to seeing.

OPPO Reno16 Pro Specs and Stronger Build Features

The Pro variant does see a big jump in the chipset department over its smaller sibling, and the processor of choice here is the flagship 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500s with Immortalis G925 MC12 graphics. Other than the display being slightly bigger at 6.78 inches, a 1272x2772 resolution with ultra thin bezels and 120Hz LTPO, the build, while largely the same on the back panel, gets a larger 7000mAh capacity battery and also adds 50W wired fast charging to its capabilities alongside the wired option.

While the camera hardware at the back does not differ, the front camera gets a 50MP unit with AF, and supports 4K recording up to 60 fps. Both variants feature the same robust ingress protection, as both models get IP68 and IP69 ratings. The IP68 rating suggests the phones will be resistant to water ingress up to 2 meters underwater. They are both fully dustproof. The highest IP rating of IP69 suggests protection against close range high pressure, high temperature water jets.
