MediaTek Dimensity 9500s Flagship Processor Officially Announced
MediaTek has officially announced the flagship Dimensity 9500s processor. Manufactured with TSMC's second-generation 3nm process technology, the chip contains more than 29 billion transistors and is high-end mobile performance.
Core Architecture And Performance
Counted among the processor's few attributes are the CPU configuration that comprises one Cortex-X925 super-core at 3.73 GHz, three high-performance Cortex-X4 cores at 3.30 GHz, and four energy-efficient Cortex-A720 cores at 2.40 GHz. There is also an Immortalis-G925 graphics chip for the support of hardware ray tracing.
- Through ultra-high memory compression technology, this chip would give a 44% boost to app launches.
- The chip has 19MB of processor cache and 10MB of system cache for improved multitasking and interface responsiveness.
Advanced Capabilities
The Dimensity 9500s integrates many features that enable AI, multimedia, and connectivity.
- On-Device AI: From summarizing phone conversations to generating images, the processor does local AI tasks without needing an internet connection.
- Multimedia Support: 8K HDR video recording with Dolby Vision and semantic video segmentation are supported.
- Network Connectivity: 5G with a peak download speed of 7 Gbps, Wi-Fi 7 with a theoretical speed of 6.5 Gbps, and direct connection Bluetooth technology with a range of up to 5 km.
Gaming Features
To enhance gaming, the Dimensity 9500s includes Adaptive Gaming Technology 3.0 and Frame Rate Converter 3.0. These systems are able to maintain performant game stability of up to 165 fps for even the most demanding titles.

The first confirmed smartphone to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s will be the Redmi Turbo 5 Max.
