Razer Blade 18 2026 Mobile Gaming Laptop Updates Core Hardware With Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus Processors And RTX 5090 Graphics Along With Brighter Displays And Price Increases On Base Models

Razer is releasing the 2026 model of the Blade 18, the current top of the line mobile gaming device in the Blade series. Listing on the Razer online store reveals that the update brings with it 2 core hardware upgrades over the 2025 version, in addition to a price increase on the base models. This follows the last hardware update cycle, back in February of 2025, and keeps the device a premium desktop replacement machine for gaming enthusiasts.

The first major internal component revision involves switching from the 275HX CPU to Intel new Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus. Clock speeds have seen a small increase by about 100MHz over the 2025 version, while the rest of the core specs are likely the same. Despite the minor gains on the processor side, Razer will continue to use the top of the line Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with a 24GB GDDR7 video memory, powered by an additional 25 watt through Dynamic Boost in addition to the default 175 watt.

Screen performance has also been revised with the 2026 model. The 18 inch IPS panel is capable of reaching 600 nits on a peak, compared to the 500 nits the 2025 model could achieve. The display is available in two modes, with the first offering 3840x2400 resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate, while the second has 1920x1200 resolution at 440Hz. It continues to maintain 100% of the DCI P3 color gamut for pro grade colors.

The chassis of the laptop remains the same; it is CNC milled aluminum and has a thickness of 2.87 cm while weighing 3.2 kilograms. Inside, you will find 3 fans, a 6 speaker sound system, a single Thunderbolt 5 port, a single Thunderbolt 4 port, and three USB A ports running at 10 Gbit per second. There is also an integrated 2.5 Gbit per second Ethernet port, an HDMI 2.1 output, and a full size SD card reader housed within the unibody. A 99 Wh battery is paired with a glass trackpad for physical input.

The Razer Blade 18 2026 will be available for sale at the minimum price of $3,999 with a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and 32 GB of RAM. This is $500 more than the base price of the last model, and upgrading to a GeForce RTX 5080 will cost another $500. The top end configuration with a GeForce RTX 5090, 128 GB of RAM, and 2TB storage has a set price of $6,999.
