Warhorse Studios Confirms Development of New Kingdom Come Series Game and Lord of the Rings Open World Fantasy RPG Addressing Internet Rumors and Market Leaks

Warhorse Studios has announced two of their upcoming projects, officially confirming what had been discussed and speculated about on the gaming forums for the past few months. In a press release on their official social media sites, the Czech studio admitted that they are developing a new title in the Kingdom Come series, as well as an open world fantasy RPG which is set within the universe of The Lord of the Rings. Although the developers have now confirmed the presence of both projects to address the internet rumors that have been spreading, they will not give any specific details about the games' gameplay or potential release dates at this point in time. Information about the titles will be released when appropriate, Warhorse stated.

This latest revelation sheds some light upon the convoluted market of leaks that have been flooding the internet for a while now, ever since the Polish translator, Ryszard Chojnowski, initially came forward with details of an epic fantasy game development. The controversy grew even more when Insider Gaming broke an exclusive story which claimed that it is Crystal Dynamics, known as the development team for The Tomb Raider series, who is actually working on a The Lord of the Rings RPG. According to Warhorse's press release, it seems like the press may have made some mistakes in the past, or perhaps both a distinct The Lord of the Rings game as well as a brand new Kingdom Come title are being simultaneously produced.
