Xiaomi YU7 GT High Performance Electric Crossover Launch Features 1003 HP V8s EVO Motor and Long Range Track Capability
Xiaomi officially launched the YU7 GT, a high performance electric crossover developed for track ability and long distance cruising. According to the official launch data revealed by Xiaomi, this model represents a significant addition to the company’s automotive line up. The vehicle has been developed for extreme power figures, while also offering adequate range to cover long highway trips.
The development of the YU7 GT powertrain is built around the company’s self produced V8s EVO electric motor which spins up to 28,000 rpm. A silicon carbide power module is used to carry the electric flow, and peak electric efficiency of 98.38% is stated with total output reaching 738 kW (1,003 hp).
This allows the hefty crossover to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.92s and a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph). These figures are sustained via an 897 V electrical system combined with a 101.7 kWh battery pack providing 705 km (438 miles) of CLTC range.
The charging capabilities benefit from the high voltage charging system, as up to 570 km (354 miles) can be added in just 15 minutes from a high speed charger. Handling is handled by the company's proprietary Jiaolong Chassis Master Edition setup, which features adaptive CDC dampers and adjustable air suspension elements, along with an electronic limited slip differential for better stability at higher speeds.
The braking performance at high speeds comes from a carbon ceramic disc brake set up combined with multi piston Akebono calipers, which provides a full 100 0 km/h (62 0 mph) stop in just 32.9 meters (108 ft).
The cabin is wrapped in 2.3 square meters of Alcantara material and offers an spacious 4 seat layout with massaging seats for all occupants. Road noise is eliminated through acoustic glazing and multi layer sound insulation, also the cabin comes equipped with active noise cancellation technology and a 25 speaker audio system supporting Dolby Atmos. A dimmable panoramic glass roof complements the interior.
Buyers may choose from 5 exterior color schemes and several carbon fiber exterior elements are available as option packages. The exterior may also be adorned with a 24 carat gold badge. The vehicle is priced starting from 389,900 Yuan, about $57,325 in global currency for the entry level trim level, with the fully loaded version topping at 429,900 Yuan, about $63,200 globally.
