Acer Introduces New Veriton AI Workstations and Commercial Desktops

Acer Veriton RA110 AI Mini Workstation and New Commercial Desktops Deliver Advanced Artificial Intelligence Performance Security and Power for Modern Businesses

Acer unveiled four new Veriton commercial desktop and workstation machines intended to deliver boosts to speed, security, and artificial intelligence. These hardware updates are intended to equip businesses of all sizes and types with new processing power, whether those businesses are small entities, software developers, or creative professionals, based on information provided in an official product release from Acer. The machines are distributed across several form factors to satisfy different immobile computing needs.

The star of the announced machine set is the Veriton RA110 AI Mini Workstation, a Copilot+ PC. Inside of this diminutive workstation is a mobile chip called the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 that also includes AMD Radeon 8060S Graphics, making this the AI powered option in the set. The combination gives the system 126 TOPS in compute performance, which allows the system to be able to store and run large language models of up to 200,000,000,000 parameters locally on the machine and on the chip.

The silver chassis has been engineered to maximize heat dissipation, even during periods of extreme processing, according to the Acer release. Memory configurations for the system support four channel RAM up to 128 GB, and storage options come in PCIe SSD configurations that hold up to 2 TB. Physical connections include 1 RJ45 Ethernet, Wi Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4, and also 2 USB 4 Type C ports. Users also have the security assurance that comes with a built in Kensington lock slot.

System monitoring for the RA110 is provided through the Acer Sense Pro application. It serves as a developer friendly interface to monitor tokens per second and time to first token metrics as vertical bar graphs and it gives the user real time usage for each portion of the system including CPU, GPU, memory, and storage. Users are also given three system modes to switch between (Silent, Balanced, and Performance) to optimize fan noise, thermals, and CPU speed, respectively.

Veriton Vero Mini PCs are geared for corporate applications

Veriton Vero Mini PCs are geared for corporate applications

For standard office, educational, or point of sale systems, Acer provided the Veriton Vero 6000 Mini and the Veriton Vero 4000 Mini. Each Mini PC comes with Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, but the Vero 6000 Mini also provides additional Intel vPro processors for corporate security standards, up to 64 GB DDR5 RAM at dual channel speeds and 2 TB storage over PCIe Gen 4, and the ability to be mounted onto the back of an appropriate monitor via standard VESA mount system, which saves on space.

In line with Acer's corporate sustainability practices, the Vero Mini PCs are constructed with post consumer recycled plastic for the case and will be packaged with wholly recyclable materials. The machines will come with EPEAT Gold and TCO certified emblems of environmentally responsible manufacturing, and the machines will include Acer Office Manager, Acer ProShield Plus, commercial grade GUI BIOS, and TPM 2.0 hardware protection for data security.

The Veriton 1000 Compact Tower is an entry level, basic work computer that features Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1 TB PCIe SSD at Gen 4. These towers will ship with Wi Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 as standard, alongside TPM 2.0 hardware data security. The strength of the tower form factor is that you can scale the system by adding more RAM, or by adding separate graphics or storage components via open PCIe slots.

These commercial Veriton machines will ship in staggered rollouts across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australia over the next few months.
