Amazfit Balance Ultra Smartwatch Release Brings Premium Titanium Construction and Advanced Hybrid Training Features for Elite Competitive Athletes
Amazfit has released a new model aimed at serious athletes called the Amazfit Balance Ultra. According to the announcement details, the smartwatch aims to be the "brain" of the brand's hybrid training ecosystem and is meant to be used by elite competitive athletes who want extensive performance data and a fully functioning productivity device.
What sets this model apart most is the build quality. It is a 52mm case made from Grade 5 high strength titanium, a display which is round and covered with a sapphire crystal with scratch resistance, and a water resistance of 10 ATM (including a specialized dive mode). The front is entirely made up of a 1.5 inch AMOLED display with a bright screen that can display up to 3000 nits (perfect for sunny days) in addition to being always on.
In terms of internals, it comes with 64 gigabytes of storage capacity, which you can use to download highly detailed terrain maps offline and install some of the apps from the Zepp OS store. It is also used for storage of music files if you wish to use wireless headphones and enjoy a phone free experience. The watch comes equipped with the new BioTracker 6.0 PPG sensor which monitors your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation levels, stress, and skin temperature. There are over 180 available sport modes to track and there is even a dedicated sports mode to track performance in HYROX, the worldwide functional fitness race series. The system offers analysis on your sleep and heart rate variability which allows it to provide a daily readiness score.
The watch runs on a 780 mAh battery, which the new HybridCharge power management system allows you to use for up to 30 days (under typical settings) before needing to recharge. Using the always on display mode would lower the life up to 10 days and constant GPS tracking up to 50 hours. For daily usability there is also a built in speaker and microphone for taking calls via Bluetooth, and the watch has a built in NFC chip enabled for Zepp Pay. The watch will be priced at 599 dollars.
