ASUS ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 Portable Enterprise Laptop Redefines Corporate Productivity with AI Computing 360 Degree Versatility and Military Grade Durability
The ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 is the newest member to the ASUS commercial hardware line. This 360 degree flippable laptop has been designed for use by corporate individuals, students, and educational institutions with the need for portability and power in a single device. The laptop comes with a high end aluminum construction in a Gentle Gray colorway, a measured thinness of 14.9mm, and an incredible 1.34 kg weight.
The unit is equipped with an Intel Core 7 Series 3 processor that houses an embedded NPU with 18 TOPS in performance that gives the device with 18 TOPS in artificial intelligence computing. In terms of graphics, the device features Intel Graphics, up to 32GB in LPDDR5X memory, and up to 1TB in PCIe 4.0 solid state storage that allows for ultra fast multitasking. The device can support long work days and long usage without the need to charge thanks to a 63Wh battery and supports rapid charging.
The versatile laptop can be easily switched into four different modes laptop, tablet, tent, and stand. The device includes a garaged MPP 2.0 stylus that automatically charges when docked on the laptop and when charged for just 15 seconds provides a full 60 minutes of writing and note taking. Physical connections supported on the device include 2 Thunderbolt 4 USB C ports, an HDMI 2.1 display port, 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A ports, and an audio combo jack. For security, there is a Kensigton Nano lock slot that may be found in many enterprise environments.
The ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 sports a 14 inch NanoEdge touchscreen display that can work in either 16 10 ratio with 84% screen to body ratio or up to 400 nits and TUV Rheinland certified to reduce eye strain due to blue light. It now also supports WiFi 7 which can provide very fast wireless speeds for remote work along with the help of ASUS AI noise canceling audio, dual microphones, and the smart amplifier technology. It includes 2 cameras; a 1080p FHD IR user facing camera for login verification using face recognition and a 5MP world facing camera on the outside for use in tablet mode for photos and scanning of documents. Both cameras also support a physical shutter to prevent visual privacy breaches.
Security management on the enterprise grade device is covered by the ASUS ExpertGuardian suite, featuring an NIST SP 800 193 compliant BIOS and Windows 11 secured core technology, FIDO2 authentication, and is backed by 5 years of monthly security updates. The NIST compliance ensures the device firmware automatically detects any unauthorized changes to it and replaces with the previous firmware version to prevent hardware downtime. Other security measures on the device include a fingerprint scanner on the power button, an discrete TPM 2.0 chip, and a chassis intrusion alert.
The laptop meets MIL STD 810H military durability tests along with internal tests performed by ASUS. Features that enhance this durability include a spill resistant keyboard, stronger hinges, and strengthened input ports.
