ASUS Prime AP304 Floating Ocean View ATX Chassis Features Dual Chamber Design and Tool Free Construction

ASUS added to the product line Sparkling Island Prime AP304 Floating Ocean View ATX desktop chassis. As described in the official ASUS product presentation, chassis has a dual chamber construction for high performance hardware setup with sophisticated thermal performance needs. Top to bottom physical layout of the prime AP304 is structured to fit a substantial liquid cooling radiator and graphics cards up to 420mm in length with support for 7 expansion slots.

The glass on the outside of the chassis is float tempered glass that extends all the way around the front and side panels, in an effort to give a clear view of the internals. For providing the maximum thermal efficiency, ASUS created a patented vent system positioned directly in between the two chambers. This system pulls cold air from outside and blows it directly towards the graphics processor; the manufacturer claims this “dramatically reduces temperatures under load.”

Different models have different hardware configurations. The standard model includes 1 built in light emitting diode strip but not preinstalled fans. If users want instant thermal integration the top of the line chassis will include 4 preinstalled ARGB fans to fans to push internal air out of the box.

The main mechanical aspect on the Prime AP304 is the tool free building process. The chassis itself employs a proprietary quick release panel solution as well as holding retention clips for the graphics card rather than the more normal screws, enabling users to perform all assembly steps without the use of a screw driver. ASUS has yet to release a definitive time scale or cost for either version of the chassis to reach retail outlets.
