DSX Update Brings Wireless Haptics and Audio to PC via Bluetooth

DSX Major Update Adds Virtual Support for Wireless Haptic Feedback and Simultaneous Bluetooth Audio Data Streams

The popular third party controller utility DualSenseX, widely known as DSX, has released a major update introducing native virtual DualSense support. According to the official developer release notes, this software modification allows PC players to experience advanced haptic feedback and adaptive triggers wirelessly over Bluetooth. This update resolves a long standing limitation where Sony’s advanced controller features were strictly restricted to wired USB connections on computer platforms.

Perhaps the most defining new feature of the update has to do with its capacity for simultaneously transmitting audio data and high fidelity haptic information through Bluetooth. Previously, PC players were limited to choosing between wireless freedom and utilizing all of their physical feedback at once; now DSX utilizes its new virtual driver system to push both data streams at the same time. This allows the player to take full advantage of controller vibrations and audio outputs simultaneously without needing a wire to be physically plugged into their computer.

With native virtual DualSense support added to DSX it has also significantly better integration with native PlayStation 5 games that implement DualSense support, in that the OS now views the DSX driver layer as native; it doesn't try to map its own translated inputs, thus, giving more accurate trigger resistance and vibration in games that support it.

Besides the wireless audio and haptic upgrades the developer has put some optimization and stability improvements in their application at the application level. Those of which have dealt with driver conflicts and the translation process lag between controller and PC. These, with new virtual emulation, will give a more stable experience overall between your DualSense controller and PC game.
