GIGABYTE Launches New AORUS ELITE Gaming Monitors With 5K Mini LED and High Speed OLED Display Technology Including AI Hardware Protection Systems
GIGABYTE, recently added three new monitors to their AORUS gaming hardware series, dubbed the “AORUS ELITE” series. The series comprises of one mini LED monitor and two OLED monitor models that all support extreme refresh rates and are targeted at gamers.
The premium gaming monitor in this new series is the 27 inch GIGABYTE FM275K16P. It boasts of a 5K (5120 x 2880) resolution mini LED panel that uses 2304 local dimming zones for deep contrasts, offering a pixel density of 218 PPI. More uniquely, it has the “Multi Mode” feature, that allows for three unique resolution and refresh rate configurations: 5K 165Hz, 4K 220Hz, and QHD 330Hz, effectively delivering the highest ever refresh rate on a QHD resolution display from a mini LED panel, while also offering cutting edge resolutions. For enhanced gaming visual details and smarter up scaling for 5K gaming, GIGABYTE’s “AI Super Resolution” intelligently up scales and refines content. The Mini LED display itself produces 1500 nits peak HDR brightness.
The OLED monitors provide users with extremely fast response rates, while the FO32U24GP also features the new “DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20” connection for bandwidth up to 80 Gbps. Both OLED monitors also come with GIGABYTE’s “Multi Mode” and “RealBlack Glossy” finish which achieve extremely low response time of up to 0.03ms, with 10 bit color depths and 1500 nits of peak HDR brightness through a tandem matrix structure that effectively prevents light leakage. Standard SDR colors and contrast will be calibrated using AI to better suit content like streaming, movies, and other SDR displays with GIGABYTE’s new “AI Picture Mode”. GIGABYTE added its exclusive display “HyperNits” which boosts up the peak brightness in HDR, while maintain detail, for an immersive experience. For competitive players, it also integrated the brand new “Tactical HUD” which helps display vital in game information in the center of the display for the easiest information intake and “Tactical Crosshair” which changes colors against dynamic backdrops to stand out against background colors for gamers,.
All three gaming monitors were equipped with GIGABYTE’s smart hardware and AI protection systems to reduce the risks associated with screen burn ins. Hardware Cooling System is a proprietary system that includes embedded heat pipes to keep the monitors from overheating. This cooling is supported by GIGABYTE's AI OLED CARE PRO. This software suite works with intelligent hardware monitors to increase display life and includes features like “Auto Lock”, that reduces panel power consumption when the user leaves the device; “Adaptive Light”, which adjusts display brightness depending on the ambient environment; and “Automatic Pixel Clean”, which automatically performs a pixel refresh when the monitor enters standby mode or if an idle display has been detected. “Eye Care Reminder” is also incorporated to advise players to rest their eyes regularly by monitoring the amount of screen time in use.
Pricing and availability are yet to be announced, but given the specifications, GIGABYTE has certainly made it clear that it's looking to gain an edge in the high end gaming display market.
