GMKtec Global Launch Schedule Released for All New Zen 5 EVO X3 Mini PC Featuring AMD Ryzen AI Max Processors and High Performance Cooling
According to the official press release from the company, pre orders for GMKtecs brand new flagship Zen 5 mini PC, the EVO X3, are set to open mid June. Customers can get their hands on a 20 USD voucher by signing up early. The formal global launch of the EVO X3 mini PC will be held at the end of June and will introduce a new chassis design and an updated I/O with the compact, high end mini PC.
The GMKtec EVO X3 will initially release with the AMD Ryzen AI Max plus 395 Processor. However, the company plans to also launch a higher performing Ryzen AI Max plus 495 model later in the year. When equipped with the current AMD processor, it will ship with a Radeon 8060S integrated graphics processor. With similar graphical capabilities to the NVIDIA RTX 4070 laptop GPU, most users will not require an external graphics solution for their workloads.
The cooling of the EVO X3 has been entirely redesigned to effectively regulate the thermal performance of the internal AMD components. The chassis, now taller but thinner than its predecessor, will include three fans. This new cooling system will allow the CPU to peak at up to 140W without throttling.
Both configurations of the EVO X3 will boast expansive Memory and Storage options. The base Ryzen AI Max plus 395 will be available with up to 128GB of unified Memory while the 495 edition will see this raised to 192GB of unified Memory. Storage has also been significantly expanded; the mini PC will now support up to 16TB of high speed PCIe 4.0 storage across two separate M.2 slots, each able to accommodate an 8TB SSD.
Perhaps the most significant addition to the EVO X3 is a direct PCIe port for external hardware, OCuLink Gen 4. The MINI PCs rear panel also contains one 40Gbps USB4 port as well as an HDMI 2.1 port supporting dual displays. For connectivity, the EVO X3 supports the latest WiFi 7 standard, offering users the highest possible Wi Fi speeds for both demanding business workloads and lag free gaming experiences.
