Google Gemini Live Platform Upgraded With Permanent Voice Memory Feature To Streamline User Conversations And Personalized Settings Deployment
Google has released an upgrade to its Gemini Live platform with the integration of a permanent memory to the voice assistant that remembers details from the last conversations. This would enable to streamline the flow of conversation by providing historical information to the artificial intelligence assistant that enables users to not reiterate background information and preferences in the following hands free voice session.
This memory feature has been live in the standard text based Gemini interface for more than 6 months, but its deployment to the live audio was phased. Users confirmed full functionality of the system in their applications. Nonetheless, the official Personal Intelligence settings menu of Google continues to have a coming soon label for the overwhelming majority of accounts implying a server side gradual rollout.
The persistent memory tool is only available in English at this point in time. Google has not yet announced a roadmap for adding in more languages to voice memory, but it is likely that multiple language support will be included in future updates to be on par with the text version of the assistant.
